The base plate is made of strong aluminum alloy and has an AMPS hole pattern (that's a standard 4-hole layout) pre-drilled into it. This lets you bolt it down super securely to a dashboard, a wall, a desk, or in a vehicle. It comes with M4 screws and wall anchors for different installation options. (Pro tip: if you're drilling into your car's dash, maybe get a pro to help so you don't hit any wires!).
The arm is also aluminum alloy and has two socket joints with rubber-coated 1-inch balls. This lets you position your device at almost any angle and it'll stay put without slipping. The rubber coating helps with grip and prevents wear.
