Hey DIYers and pros! Need to reinforce something strong and light? This is 5 oz Kevlar tape, 3 inches wide and a whole 10 yards long. No adhesive – it's meant to be used with resin (polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy) to beef up laminations or repairs on fiberglass, carbon fiber, or other Kevlar projects. Kevlar is that crazy-strong aramid fiber – when layered with resin, it becomes a rigid material that's super light but way stronger than steel. This tape is 165 g/m² and about 0.25mm (0.01 inches) thick. Great thermal and dimensional stability – handles temps up to 320°F without losing strength. Lighter than fiberglass, won't melt or support combustion (though it starts to caramelize around 800°F). Use it for reinforcing kayaks, canoes, boats, aircraft panels, pressure vessels, sports gear, wind turbines – you name it. A tip: use serrated scissors to cut it cleanly.
