Got a cabinet door, storage hatch, or bench seat in your RV, camper, or boat that won't stay open? These gas struts (also called gas springs or lift supports) are the fix. This is a set of two. Each strut extends to 7.5 inches (center to center of the ball sockets) and compresses down to 5.5 inches. They provide 20 pounds of pushing force each, which is enough to gently lift and hold a moderate weight. The ends have 10mm ball sockets (one is a 16-degree angle) that snap onto existing ball studs. They're commonly used for RV cargo doors, camper bunk lids, marine hatches, or even some car applications. Replacing worn-out struts is usually easy – just pop off the old ones and snap these on.
